Grant Guidelines
Eligible organisations
The Foundation is bound by the provisions of The Peter & Lyndy White Foundation’s Trust Deed. The Foundation can only consider applications from organisations that are registered with the Australian Charities and Not for Profit Commission and endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR1) by the Australian Taxation Office. Evidence of registration with the ACNC and current endorsement from the ATO is required to accompany a grant application.
Criteria
When considering a grant application the Foundation takes into account, amongst other criteria, whether an organisation:
- Demonstrate sound financial management of current resources
- Demonstrate sound management and service excellence in meeting clients’ needs
- Has a high degree of community and/or volunteer involvement.
- Has sufficient capacity to carry out the proposed activity
- Has other financial support or will leverage the Foundation’s support to obtain further funding
- Uses innovative or groundbreaking concepts or methodologies
- Collaborates with others in their field
- Is committed to evaluation and dissemination, with a view to replication
- Will be able to sustain results into the future
Generally the Foundation does not provide funding for the following:
- Generic public fundraising appeals
- Conferences, seminars, forums, festivals and workshops
- Emergency requests or disaster appeals
- Individuals (including medical, travel or accommodation costs)
- Projects that obviously duplicate existing services
- Political projects and/or lobby groups.
